According to TikToker Moe (@moe.makes.magick), a Chicago firefighter once had an eerie premonition that his life was about to come to an end. When he passed away, his spirit left behind a mark as a reminder of his death.
Firefighter Frank Leavy was a married Irishman with two children, a son and a daughter. He was a normal man who lived an ordinary life. His neighbors stated that he took pristine care of his lawn.
He had been working at the fire department for 13 years and loved his job. However, he was disappointed when he was scheduled to work both Good Friday and Easter in April of 1924.
On April 18, he kissed his family goodbye and headed to work. Frank was cleaning up the station with one of his coworkers when a horrible, distraught look suddenly crossed his face.
His coworker asked him if he was okay. Frank stopped cleaning and told his coworker that it was his last day on the job. His coworker thought that was strange but continued cleaning.
"So, just then, the alarm bell went off," narrated Moe. "There was this huge fire at a dance hall. It was called Karen Hall on the south side of Chicago, and everyone at the firehouse, including Frank, sprang into action and rushed into the inferno."
During this time period, firefighters didn't have oxygen tanks or much protective gear at all. For a while, they seemed to be fighting the fire successfully, but then they noticed that the structure was starting to show signs of collapse.
The firefighters on the outside yelled for the firefighters on the inside to get out, but their warnings were drowned out by all the commotion going on at the scene.
Sadly, Frank Leavy and the other firefighters inside the building were crushed to death. The remaining firefighters managed to extinguish the fire and retrieve the remains of their fallen comrades.

"They ended up coming back to the firehouse absolutely distraught because they were only able to positively identify one of the bodies," said Moe.
"They could not tell who any of the five people were except for Frank."
The coworker who had been talking to Frank just before the alarm noticed Frank's perfectly preserved handprint on the window that he had been washing.
The firefighters called a fingerprint expert to take a look. The expert compared the prints to Frank's prints that he had given to become employed at the fire department, and they were a match.
When the firefighters tried to clean off the handprint, nothing worked. They tried every cleaning solution they could. The window manufacturer offered to replace the window altogether, but the entire fire department decided to keep Frank's handprint.
The handprint stayed in the fire department for 20 years until a young newspaper delivery boy accidentally flung a newspaper through the window.
