She Had A Terrifying Nightmare About A Road She Never Visited, Uncovering A Disturbing True History A Year Later

Most dreams disappear almost as soon as we wake up, leaving behind only a vague feeling or a few scattered images. But for TikToker @lizardabeth, one nightmare she had was so vivid that she never completely forgot about it.

One night, she had a scary dream that ended up coming true. A year later, she learned the disturbing history behind it. So, she was in her last year of high school, living in New Jersey, when she had this terrifying dream. She has lived in New Jersey all her life.

In the dream, she was riding her bike down a dark, distinct road. There were many tall trees lining both sides of the road, with branches stretching overhead.

But the eeriest part wasn't the road itself. Enslaved people from the Antebellum period were hanging from the branches.

She was on her way to save her brother from something in the dream. Meanwhile, these people were hanging above her. They reached down and tried to grab her, begging for help.

The imagery became too much, and she finally woke up from the nightmare with her heart pounding in fear.

A year later, @lizardabeth moved to Nashville, Tennessee. She was driving around the area with her brother when she realized that she recognized the road they were on.

She knew all the specific landmarks on the road, such as a barn. They drove past the barn and other details surrounding the road that seemed to match what she had seen in her nightmare.

Suddenly, it hit her. She was on the exact same road from her dream. The realization was already unsettling enough, so she just dismissed it as a strange coincidence to prevent herself from getting too spooked. She wasn't able to move on from the experience for too long.

But the story took another turn about two weeks later, when her brother called her with information about the area. He found out that the location they had been driving through had once been a graveyard for enslaved people.

Overall, the discovery made the dream feel much more significant to @lizardabeth. She still doesn't know why she dreamed of this historical site, though.

"So, that's one of the scary dreams I've had that have come true," declared @lizardabeth. "I have plenty more. I have so many ghost stories...I grew up in a haunted house. But that's my one that sticks out for tonight."

Perhaps it was her lifelong connection to the paranormal from living in a haunted house that made her have this dream. She clearly isn't a stranger to experiences that are difficult to explain.
