It's reasonable to assume that everyone is on their best behavior on a first date. But if you went on a date with someone who had so much to drink that they ended up on the floor and then the police and paramedics had to be called, would you be open to giving them a second chance?
On Saturday, this 40-year-old man went on a date with a 38-year-old woman, and they talked for a little and got to know one another before meeting up in real life.
He thought their chemistry was off the charts when they did phone and video calls leading up to their first date. He did reveal that he no longer drinks and wouldn't be having any alcohol on their first date; however, he said that didn't mean he was opposed to her having some fun.
He promised to pick her up, and they went out to a food court that has different options from various cultures. As soon as this girl climbed into his car, he could tell she was out of it.
But after they arrived at their destination, he was shocked when she began ordering neat double shots of Jack Daniels. They sat down at the bar and began chatting with four women who were there too.
These women and his date all ordered one Sambuca to have, and he was conversing with one woman who works as a nurse. He wasn't flirting with her; he was just being friendly as they discussed their careers and how he works in emergency services.
"Next thing I know, she had drunk all 5 of [the drinks] and, minutes later, was on the floor, shouting, screaming, arguing; police and paramedics turned up," he explained.
"I spent the whole night in [ER] with her. I said to her mum and dad, [who] are elderly, they can go home; this was about 4 a.m., and I will stay until she is released. She was still extremely drunk in the morning and couldn’t remember a thing."
"Since then, she has apologized and wants to give it another go. I’m unsure, though, as it was quite a bad impression for a first date."

Whoa, sorry doesn't begin to cut it here. I don't think he should take her out on a second date, as it appears she has a serious problem with alcohol, or self-control, or both.
First dates are a whole lot like job interviews, and she messed up so bad there's just no coming back from this.
Do you think this girl deserves a second chance to make a good impression?
