She Walked Out Of A First Date Within 10 Minutes And Grabbed A Bottle Of Wine On Her Way Out After The Guy Demanded That She Explain Why She Doesn't Want Kids

Within the first 10 minutes of meeting a man in person, TikToker Cat (@bigkittyenergy) walked out, effectively ending the date for good. At the time, she was still in Dallas, healing from a breakup. She ended up matching with a guy on a dating app.

In her profile, she made it very clear that she did not want to have kids, but as she found out, men just aren't as open and honest about their preferences.

So, this man had swiped right on her, and they started chatting. He was a surfer from San Francisco and seemed nice. He was 30 years old and worked a corporate office job. On his profile, he had written that he was open to having kids but didn't really need them.

They made plans to meet up for a drink at a wine bar. She went out to a steakhouse with her friends beforehand. They dropped her off at the wine bar.

When she arrived, he was waiting for her. She sat down next to him, and they started talking a little bit about her dinner. Then, they selected a bottle of wine to share.

The bartender walked over with the bottle and poured some wine into their glasses. As soon as the bartender left, her date looked at her and said there was something on her profile that he wanted to discuss because it had been bothering him.

Apparently, he found it really offensive that she didn't want kids because, as a woman, being a mother should be a priority for her.

"This man does not even know my last name yet," said Cat. "He probably doesn't even know what color my eyes are at this point, and this is the first thing he leads with."

Cat believes that women don't need to give a reason or explanation for not wanting to have kids. Women are allowed to make their own choices about their bodies.

And, she has known from a very young age that motherhood was not the path for her.

On another day, she might have been up for having a discussion about this topic, but today was not that day. She also realized that he was the type of man who would not be convinced by her logical reasoning or fact-checking, so she didn't want to waste her time.

She downed the rest of her wine, grabbed the bottle on the table, and walked out the door. She called her friend to pick her up, and they went back to his house.

"I went to sleep knowing happily that I did not waste another second of my time with another man who didn't deserve it," said Cat.

"So, ladies, I encourage you to set your boundaries. Leave when you want to leave. You don't need to explain anything to anyone."
