The other day, TikToker Emmy (@emmy.r.white) was asked out on a date. He suggested they go on a coffee date so they could walk his dog afterward around the park near the coffee shop. She agreed, and they planned to meet up at noon.

She arrived exactly at noon. He was already there, waiting for her. She greeted him and his dog, and then they ordered their coffees.

By the time they got up to the counter, he already had his credit card out to pay for their drinks, so she didn't think to offer to pay, which might have gotten the date started on the wrong foot. However, she did make sure to thank him.

After they got their coffees, they went outside and started walking. Not even five minutes into the walk, he commented on how she was Instagram-famous.

Emmy had never given him anything but her first name and phone number, so she didn't know how he even found her Instagram account.

"He said that he saved my phone number to his Snapchat, found my full name from there, and then went and stalked my Instagram," said Emmy. "I thought that was a little weird."

She told him that she didn't consider herself Instagram-famous but thanked him anyway. He proceeded to say that it wasn't a compliment.

If he and his friends saw her filming content at the gym, they would definitely make fun of her.

Emmy thought it was just banter and that he was just joking around, so she laughed it off at first. He said he wasn't kidding and that what she did was embarrassing.

At that point, Emmy was annoyed. She retorted that he wouldn't be embarrassed if he saw how much money she made.

They kept walking, and he made a jab at her about not working out her upper body. The date began to feel more tense and awkward as each second passed. They were about 20 minutes away from her car, so she tried to be nice for the rest of the walk.

He asked her what she did for work, and she replied that she was a server while getting through nursing school. He said that she was "a little behind the game," even though he was also getting through school but didn't have a job on the side like she did.

When she mentioned that she was going to pick up some lamps the next day, he accused her of being one of those women who were into frivolous things. Luckily, they had reached her car, so she got in and left.

"I think maybe I should text him just to be polite," said Emmy. "I thanked him for the coffee and never heard from this man again."
