A Bridesmaid Brought Another Bridesmaid's Cheating Ex-Fiancé As A Plus-One To A Wedding

As a makeup artist, TikToker @skincraftfaciallounge has seen her fair share of stress during events, but nothing quite hits like wedding drama.

So, one of the bridesmaids she was working with, Ali, had to cancel her wedding four months ago. The bride had asked her if it was going to be too soon for her to participate in her wedding, but Ali was fine with it because they had been friends for a long time.

When @skincraftfaciallounge was talking to another bridesmaid, she noticed that the bridesmaid looked a little queasy. She figured it was because the girls had had too much tequila at the Mexican restaurant the night before.

However, the bridesmaid revealed the real reason she was nervous. She told her that she had brought Ali's ex-fiancé as a plus-one to the wedding. Of course, @skincraftfaciallounge asked if either Ali or the bride knew, and she said no.

After that, @skincraftfaciallounge had to really focus on getting a different bridesmaid's makeup done, but she was reeling from the news.

She told the other bridesmaid that she definitely needed to tell the bride since it was her wedding. She also learned that the bridesmaids didn't know each other very well.

"Apparently, the bridesmaids had actually just met for the wedding," said @skincraftfaciallounge. "One of them, Ali, was an older friend to the bride, and the other girl was a newer friend, either from college or work or something like that. So, they didn't really know each other before all these wedding events."

The two bridesmaids met for the first time when Ali was still with her fiancé. Ali called off her wedding because her fiancé had cheated on her. The bridesmaid went to talk to the other bridesmaids about the situation.

Later, they came out of the room, and the bride asked Ali and the other bridesmaid to have a conversation. The bride was pretty calm.

She stepped in and made the boundary clear by stating that Ali's ex-fiancé was not allowed to attend any wedding-related events.

Ali also managed to maintain her composure despite the incredibly uncomfortable situation. The other bridesmaid started crying and had to run to the bathroom.

As for @skincraftfaciallounge, she doesn't know how she would've kept it professional if she had to do that bridesmaid's makeup. Luckily, she did her own makeup, so she was the only bridesmaid @skincraftfaciallounge didn't have in her chair.

At the end of the day, weddings are chaotic enough without adding an ex-fiancé and a secret plus-one to the seating chart. The situation turned out to be a lesson in wedding etiquette, boundaries, and perhaps most importantly, knowing when a plus-one is absolutely not appropriate.

It seems like common sense, but apparently, it is advice that occasionally needs to be added to the wedding checklist.
