Do you think it's bad luck for a bride to wear the same wedding dress she wore at her first wedding, which ended in divorce, for her second?

On the night of this man's wedding, he and his wife went back to his mom and dad's house to change their clothes so they could get ready to go to the airport and jet off to their honeymoon.

Naturally, his wife left her wedding dress in the guest room. While they were away on their honeymoon, his sister placed his wife's dress in a box and put it in the closet. It remained there for years, untouched.

He was married to his wife for five years before they got a divorce. Following their split, his now ex-wife never mentioned anything about her wedding dress, so it stayed in the closet.

But his mom had a problem with the dress.

"My mom asked me to remove the dress from the house because it had bad memories for her. I needed extra cash, and the dress was expensive, so I decided to sell it on eBay," he explained.

"I pulled my old wedding album out of the attic, scanned a few photos, and placed a black box over my ex’s eyes so that it would be difficult to identify her."

"I sold the dress to a lovely nursing student in South Carolina, who was so happy to get a designer dress for cheap that she sent me a thank-you note. About two months after I sold the dress, my ex emailed me to say she was remarrying and wanted to come by to pick up her wedding dress."

He decided to come up with a lie instead of telling his ex the truth, so he just told her that there was a leak in his mom and dad's roof, which destroyed the dress, so they had to throw it in the garbage.

Do you find it weird that his ex-wife wanted to wear her wedding dress again to marry another guy? I sure do! While I don't find it bizarre for a woman to want to wear a wedding dress that one of her family members wore, I do think it's pretty crazy for a bride to believe that recycling her wedding dress from a failed marriage is a good idea.

That's just asking for your second marriage to be cursed or something!
